Yes, we definately need to have races and classes. But I was thinking, most games are pretty generic in this sense. Most use almost the same races, and the same classes (DK/MD classes for example are exaclty the same as chars in Diablo 2). I think we need to come up with some very unique races and classes. Yes they would have to be similar to what most people know about the "common" races and classes in most games, but we need to give it our own flavor so it doesnt seem so copied and pasted like all other games.

If nothing, just give them different names.

A few ideas off the top of my head: (not very thoughtful but Ill think of better stuff)

Man - instead of Human
Northerner - barbarian type
Ground Dweller - dwarf type
Nightstalker - dark elf

You get the basic idea. Ill try to actually think about this and come up with something better, as well as descriptions, bonuses etc.
